After numerous months of being very quiet, I’ve decided it’s time to get back into the swing of things and get blogging. Especially one of my former workmates, Kilian Valkhof, Front end develeloper and User experience designer, pointed out that back in Holland he doesn’t link back to people who don’t blog! And that is a fair point indeed!
One reason for my absence is that I’ve had a busy few months. I’ve had big changes in my life, such as moving to Barcelona in Spain for good, which unfortunately meant that I had to leave Dog Digital, still the best agency I’ve worked at yet. Well, I said leave but at the moment I’m juggling two jobs, still working for Dog on a part-time basis from the Barcelona satellite office and also in my new job at Properazzi, the international property search engine.
To be honest I was very hesitant going back onto the client side, especially after interviewing many people from the “dark side”, who supposedly call themselves “SEO specialists” and present a very poor grasp of SEO. Although, I can’t generalise there, as one of my new colleagues, James Omdahl aka the Marketingpunk, who is based in Denver, is one of the most knowledgable SEOs I’ve met in a long time.
Anyway, this is the start of a new beginning. Only another month of two jobs and I will be able to dedicate many more hours to beautiful SEO chat!
